Sweet Salt, otherwise known as Real Salt, originated from oceans that dried out during the Jurassic era. One of the purest salts on the market - unrefined, untreated, no additives, and one hundred per cent natural, Sweet Salt is carefully extracted from an underground deposit in central Utah and it is from the volcanic ash, which is rich in minerals, that it gets its impressive colouring.
A favourite with American chefs, it has a mild flavour with a very pleasant aftertaste.
Delicious on sandwiches or with soups, sauces, meat and fish, Sweet Salt is an excellent all round pure table salt, as well as a seasoning salt.
